Who knew selling by auction could be so easy!
After a long probate slog I was at last granted the Letters of Administration to sell my late sisters flat. By comparison the experience had with Joe at Auction House, was fast, efficient, trouble free and successful. His immediate response to every query made the sale so easy.
I would recommend Auction House to anyone wanting to sell their property.
I very rarely leave a review (and almost always when dissatisfied) but have been enormously impressed with this outfit.
My wife and I were interested in a flat in the auction of 24 May 2023. The ownership, paperwork and general legalities were complex and my solicitor advised me not to touch it! However, I contacted London Auction House and the CEO, Jordan Philips, called me personally. He put me in touch directly with the seller’s solicitors and I was able to get straight answers to my questions direct from them. As a result I decided to switch my own solicitor to someone I had greater confidence in. His advice gradually became positive.
In the evening of 22nd May, I mistakenly thought the flat had sold pre-auction as it did not show on their “Lots still available” tab (which I now know references Lots not sold at previous auctions!) I texted Jordan late that evening and he immediately confirmed that it was still available.
The next afternoon – and after further reassurances from various parties – I consulted Jordan and made a pre-auction offer. This turned into a brief negotiation which Jordan handled personally with half a dozen phone calls or so. Within two hours of the deal being struck, the deposit was paid and contracts exchanged.
I have nothing but praise for the entire process and particularly for the preparedness of Jordan (who I have still never met) to get involved and respond personally whenever asked. Such a rare quality in today’s world.
As a postscript to this experience I asked for pre-completion access with architects which Jordan then organised with the vendor and offered to personally attend if necessary as the vendor’s agreement was dependent on London Auction House attendance.
