“Auction day always brings its challenges and that is exactly how it should be. The energy in the room, the pace of the bidding, the moment a lot sells above guide price, there is nothing else like it in property. It is intense. It is loud.
But that is the point. When it matters, it has to mean something.
What is also rewarding is the conversation after. Watching a client realise the result they have just achieved. Knowing the process worked, that the valuation was right, that the strategy paid off. That is what I come back for.
I also get a lot out of working alongside newer members of the team. There is a real satisfaction in passing on experience, helping someone understand why a certain approach works, or why a particular asset needs to be positioned differently to perform. The AHL team is exceptional and watching people grow within it is something I genuinely value.
